Thanks for letting me know about programming the ECM. I really do not know if my car came with a immobiliser. I hope not, I just hope its just connect and run.
If the ECM that I purchased in eBay doesn't work I will return it and take your offer on getting a working one from Australia, I am from Puerto Rico and for the most part you can find parts for older cars but as in this case you might not.
Useless and unethical mechanics are all over. I will definite post on the forum first.
Regards,

ok no prob. Should definitely do some research on ECUs and how they work even watch people swap theirs online and absorb as much info as you can so when you have issues you can have an idea of what could be causing it. The car pc is very basic compared to a desktop computer lol. But yeah let me know what car you have and ill let the guy here know. ECU is about 250 for the 1.6 and then he charges 100 bucks for ignition, locks and keys to go with the new ecu. Cause i was going to do an engine swap he said Hed give me any wiring harnesses I need as well for nothing so I know when I need to do an engine swap im covered. Also thats in AU dollars. I can give you his number as well if you want to have a chat to him and explain to him whats happened. He knows these cars inside out. He used to be a designer in the automotive industry back in the 70s-90s i think.

Though it started its has a small hesitation when accelerating but runs fine afterwards.
Also the engine light is on. I scanned it and its showing the code P0452 Evaporate Emission System Pressure Sensor,Switch Low.
I looked for diagrams on line but can not seem to find any that shows where its located.
Could you help?

Im not a mechanic or an electrician. Im an I.T. pro so using the information I know about your vehicle my first thought would be to check the wiring and sensors with a multimeter. I only started using one recently lol. I cant believe I never had one of these a long time ago. Reason my first thought is to check the condition of electronics is because of your ECU either going bad or getting swapped out by the mechanic you took it to. But the cheapest thing to do is to check for vacumm leaks first to save time and your petrol cap. Its only the evaporation sensor. Youre basically troubleshooting what that stupid mechanic did while your car was in his shop.
By the way, I am also in IT Infrastructure.
Thanks for taking time to help.
