Default Help me locate particular parts on the engine.

so again, i know nothing about cars and am trying to locate the following parts on my engine
- air intake boot
- throttle plate
- idle air control valve passage


so yeah, either a description of what theyd look like or where on the engine to find it. for reference, its a 1998 protege with 1.8L engine.

im not sure about the rest but the air intake boot would be the rubber peice after your filter box that makes the angle to you intke

if you are trying to do stuff to your car and are not sure of what you are doing go to crappytire and get a haynes repair manualy best 20 bucks you will spend

Intake boot is #3 and is the flexible black boot between the air cleaner housing and engine.

This one did not come out so clear but the throttle plate is located inside the throttle body which is #2 in diagram. The throttle body is the part that the intake boot attaches to on the engine side. Once you remove the intake boot then look inside the throttle body and you will see a round plate blocking the opening that opens as throttle cable is pulled. This is the Throttle plate.
Bolted to the underside of the throttle body is the Idle Air Control valve. This is where you will find the passages. There is an opening on either side of the throttle plate that would connect to the IAC valve.
