Just for an FYI Some Mazdas are Fords.

Your point is?
Think about it, Ford has owned a chunk of Mazda since 1979, as late as November of 2008 Ford owned a controlling stake in Mazda, they still own 13.4%, they do joint development and share a number of platforms, so why shouldn't they cross pollinate various cars?
Long story short, this is seriously old news, old as in more than three decades old.

Actually ford of england designed the duratec engine (in the mazda3 and mazda6, 04 and up focus), and the mazda3 platform is almost a direct copy of the focus (also designed by ford of england) so mazda would not have any releable u.s. spec cars without ford... seriously, the 626 is one of the most unreliable cars on the road, and mazdas rotary is extremely touchy and failure prone... im not tryin to talk up ford of america, cuz they make some sad cars as well (tho they are still the best american auto maker) but ford of england is one of the best design teams on the planet, why else would they work directly with cosworth?

It's clear you have little to no knowledge of Fords.

Hmmm, it seems that some "pruning" has been applied to this thread as I know I didn't start it. IIRC, this thread was started by a member (former member?) that was a bit if a muck raker, and my first post was a reply to his ill-thought-out comments.
