Default My thought....

Friend told me bout a restored 68 stang. Soooo...... I'm thinking bout selling my 02 P5 for $5,000 and buying it and a older Protege 4 door as a DD. The stang I would build a motor to put in it, it has the stock 289 and 3 speed in it right now. None of the older Proteges have the 2.0, I'm talking 94-96. What would my option of engine b in those years, what do yall think would b my best bet? 4 door DD is what I'm talking bout, I figure I will b looking at 1.6 SOHC or DOHC no other engine...

1.8l or 1.5l are your only options. 1.8l gives you a little more power, but..... there is no room in the engine bay to do anything easily. 1.5l is most popular motor, and probably your best option. Try to stay with a 95-98. It is a more refined car.
