Need help removing front rotor!!!
92 Mazda Protege-tried to remove front rotor.ere Has Nut/grease cap? There is a place where one indents a part of it (to keep it from loosening?-called staking) I hammered this out-put a 600ft/lb impact gun on it-would not budge. Went back and forth to no avail. How do I remove the rotor???
Any help would be appreciated. I will pray to you like the god you are if you can help me :-)

RE: Need help removing front rotor!!!
I have a 02' protege5 im not sure if the 92' protege is the same. but on the rotor with my car there is a hole where the rotor is at, normally i just screw a nut into it and it should pop out easily.. again im not sure if you have the same rotor design or not.. hope that helped.

Different from that, sorry-but thanks for trying!
The rotor is a part of the hub-the nut on the spindle is staked to a keyway in the spindle. Once unstaked, I figures it would just unscrew-but noooooo, it doesn't cooperate. I can't imagine it would be so stuck that a 1/2 inch gun wouldn't budge it at all.....
