Protege5 Blown low beams and battery light flashing?
So I just bought a used 2002 protege5 about a month ago and while I was driving it in the snow/sleet/rain we had the other day I lost both my low beam lights at the exact same time. The high beams worked fine so I just used them for the rest of my drive home. In addition to that my battery light would come on for maybe 10-15 seconds and then turn off.
The next day I checked the fuses, they were good, as well as the relays, then I pulled out the low beam bulbs and they were blown. So I bought new bulbs and put them in. Then that night while I was driving, again in the snow/puddles left over from the night before, I had the same issues and lost both headlights at the same time within 1 hour of having to turn them on.
If anyone has any advice for this issue or has resolved this same issue themselves the input would be wonderful.

But we've tried ckng w meter to c if alternator does that & it doesn't. So I'd replaced 4 sets of lights already so just had high beams for a few weeks than git new low beams had them put in & when I lft omw home the low beams blew outagain while on freeway. Plus belt will not stop squealing louder & louder & all time except when driving on freeway. Replaced them twice . At my wits end if possible please help
