Default A quick Intake question (this is different i promise! ;))

Hi everybody!

Well I have a 2003 Protege auto with a 4 cyl engine and I was wondering. I have a weapon R secret weapon intake from a 97 Mazda 626 4cyl auto and I want to fit it into this car seeing that I really can't sell it and make anything... Now I know that the protege engine is just a slightly redesigned version of the 626 engine (its actually kinda common to swap in engine parts and even the turbo setups into the 626 for those who don't know) and since the stock intake setup seemed to be similar enough, I figured I'd give it a try. But unfortunately, I saw these two hoses that connect to some kind of sensor near the throttle body (its clamped to the intake hose) which isn't in the 626 and I couldn't figure out how to fit into the intake.

So here is my question: Is it possible to fit the intake? If so, is it plug and play or do I have to modify anything?

Any help would be appreciated (pics highly preferred! )

Thanks in advance!

is the intake from a 1.8 or a 6 cylinder? that is the main thing. it should be alright if it is from a 1.8.

My 626 was a 2.0L 4 cylinder. So if this is the case, can anybody tell me what the two hoses over the intake tube by the throttle body is?

Oh and thanks for the reply wsoape281
