Default Spring Sound when turning

I have a 99 protege that sometimes makes a spring sound in the front left wheel area when turning past 90 degrees. I took it in to the shop but they didn't fix it. Anyone have anythoughts as to what it could be and how much repairing it might be?

is your car lowered or is it still on factory suspension. i had that happen to me when i had the ground control coil overs installed and that was because the spring was turing and the plate/cup at the top of the stur was not. thats because the proteges have a spring/struts assembly. its not a big deal but i know it was annoying.

the car hasn't been lowered but i figured is was the suspension springs. just wanted to know if it was doing my vehicle any damage. i'd still like to have it fixed because yes it is annoying and slightly embarassing. Not fun to have people ridding along and have that noise happen.

well...if your car is still under waranty, you should bring it back to the dealership. if not then it might be the upper plate that tops off the strut that hold it onto the car. forgot what that plate is called but i know you can buy new ones because i ve already bought some because the bearings insinde them went bad.

Hi, My car Mazda protege2000, 1.6L. 122900KM, When I make turn and inverse,I can hear some knocking noise. So I went to the garage ,they checked it and give the report:

KNOCKING NOISE WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT FROM REAR END OF CAR.
ROAD TEST :
LE BRUIT VIENT DU TOP PLATE ET LES 2 CHOC
LES LINK ARR EST LOOSE
LINK AVD EST LOOSE
CHOC AVANT DROITE A UNE FUITE D HUILE

I think this is the same problem.
1, two rear top plates noise and 2 shock and its rear link loose
2, front right link loose
3, right front-shock leaking.

The garage guy suggest me change the two rear top plate and two shock.and tighten the link.

maybe helpful for you.
