Default Stiffing Rear Suspension

whats up guys,

i have a 02 mazda protege es. heres my delima. i am into car audio big as a hobby and a competitor. well the stereo i am in the midst of building now is gonna add a total of about 450-550 lbs in the trunk area. my car sat low enough with the last stereo in there where i had a lil rub on my rear tires ( only pullin in and outta driveways and if i snapped a turn a lil fast ) plus i have 17" rims on the car. what type of kits are there for these cars? can i order just springs or what? any help would be awesome.

thanks'
rich

Maybe it"s time to bag the car, at least the rear end of it?
Or the cheaper way would be to block the springs. This can be done in several ways:
1) Push-in rubber blocks that go in between coils (old school)
2) Rubber donuts that do basically the same thing (also old school)
3) Spacersbetween the spring land and coils
4) Have a custom lower control arm fashioned, or customize the stockers, in other words have the lower spring land moved upward (adds to the unsprung weight) or the upper land downward (adds additional weight but not on the unsprung side of it.)
5) Have custom rear springs wound at a spring shop.

You also haven't thought about how you are going to get that extra weight around town. I know I lose alot of pickup when I have 4 people in my ES. You might want to build your system in something a larger motor and heavier duty transmission. Maybe a Tribute or even a 626 with a 6 cylinder.

I wasn"t suggesting that you slam it, just install adjustabe air bags.
Look into it @ your local parts store, online, or a good ole' J.C. of Whitney. (<<< "Told you it was old school.)
Your ole' lady? I haven't heard that one in a while either. Does she approve?

yeah shes doesnt care. i really dont want to drop a lotta $$ into the suspension on this car due to the fact the stereo is gonna be breakin a lot of other crap. i would perfer just to block it if i could. ive already broke a couple things in the roof and with the sunroof, welds in the trunk, all the pannels are loose or broke on the inside and so on and so on. and considerin the the $$ going into the stereo, i want the cheap way out

First of all, none of your links work.
Second, none of your linksare working.
Third, if you have already done that much damage to the structure of the carw/a stereo (or a bad mechanical hand,) you don"t need a new stereo, just a new car... w/o a stereo (or tools.)
And you have kid(s) that ride around in this thing w/all the broken welds?
