Default Tail lights not working

My tail running lights are not working and neither is my dash back light, both seem to have gone off at the same time as near as I can tell. My brake lights, blinkers, headlights, high beams, and other dash lights (high beam indicator, blinker indicators) all work. I checked the fuse for the tail lights, replaced it though it was fine. Checked the fuse box for power and it had it. Replaced all the tail lights. Why won't my tail lights work? I've looked through my Hayes manual and can't find anything remotly helpful.

Thanks in advance.

The headlight switch can be removed/disasembled and cleaned pretty easily. Just clean the contacts with sandpaper then contact cleaner. It is best to disasemble it on a piece of cloth as there are small springs that can be lost.
