timing belt broke while driving
Hi all,
Just purchased my 1st car a month ago, I was driving down the street at about 50 kmh and my timing belt snapped. The previous owner assured to me that he had just changed it ( which was totally false :s) and even I did a total servicing on my car just after the acquisition. I have read that while breaking its's sure that are engine damages and may be I will have to replace the engine or a big repair to do. Am feeling depressed its my first car and I've spent lots of money on it. Will soon bring it to the garage to see what can be done. My car is Mazda Protege 323 year 2003, the mileage is 120,000 km and the engine is a 16 VALVE DOHC. Can someone pls advise, feeling very very upset
