Check engine light (sporadic)and buck on accel
Hi, I have a 90' gxl and recently swapped in a 89' , everything was fine for the first say 3,000 miles... but now I'm getting an occasional Check Engine Light Flicker and when it happens I can accelarate or I'm met with bucking.
I know this is electrical because it happens sporadically and I've even managed to figure out a way to fix it while in motion, (hit clutch, shut off engine, either re-start or roll start)....usually works for a little while and I get full power back until the light flickers again....
Ive checked the main grounds at the starter and along the tower. Ive replaced the ECU ground by the intake.... if i remove the green 2 pronged wire below that ground i get a solid CEL which causes less erratic behavior...
Anybody have any idea's?? I'm new to rotary's and the local mechanic where I'm at took a look at it, changed the wires and gave it back to me,lol...... doing the same thing.... so pretty sure hes clueless too.
