Default Removing stock speakers and bypassing their amps

I have an 88 and Im trying to add aftermarket speakers but I took them out and found them to be in little pods with what looks like their own little amps and everything....I only took out the back speakers but I can assume the fronts are the same. Just wondering if anyone knows how to removed the whole amps or by pass it... I just took everything out so I just have the empty box but there was the little connectors and stuff at the bottom so I wonder where I would re hook up my new speakers
