starving for gas

RE: starving for gas
the ECU and harness like you said would have to work. you may (like 99.8% sure) need a new transmission and then fab it with a different custom drive shaft to work with the rear axle. Everything else would be what you said you don't mind like mounting it. It will most deffinately fit though, people have done so with corvette engines. I personally hate it when people make Rx-7s piston powered but you're staying with a Mazda enigne so it's not too bad.

yeah i don't like the fact that i'm not going to be using the rotory motor but what i've been told so far it would be alot cheaper to go ahead and do this for now so i could put some money back and tear apart the original motor and rebuild so anyway that's the plan thanks for the heads up

RE: starving for gas
www.rx7world.com can do rebuilds between $1000 and $8000 depending on what you want doen (how many parts replaced, if it's turbo N/A or even FD etc.) Also you can pick up used 13bts from japan with less that 40,000 miles for $2000-$3000 or so at that same site. Check the classifieds of www.rx7club.com frequently, sometimes they go for $800 - $1500 from private owners. These cheaper engines are rare but come from owners who wanted a swap and removed their old engine.
