looking at an rx-8 now
alright, i've finally gotten it through my thick skull that I want an RX-8. Not really worried about year as long as it's in good shape. I work on DSMs so i'm not too sure on the rotary if anyone has anyproblems, ideas, anything, that would help. Plus you guys don't know anyone wanting to buy a 96 gsx would ya? lol

OK, keep it in mind. It's a 2004, manual, black, with black and red leather interior, spoiler, blah blah blah. 70k miles.
I love the car, but for a decent price, I'd sell it. Just want to knock my car payment down a bit...

The Rotory engine is similar to piston engines, the only difference is, well, the rotors. I bought my 04 RX8 a few months ago, and i love it. Just like any car, you have to treat it with respect. The 8 is kind of a pain in the *** at the pump tho, you HAVE to use premium(i used it anyway in my ****ty saturn) and you are supposed to check the oil every other time you fill up... The Renesis engine uses very littile oil, so theres not alot to be distributed. so if its runnin low, you dont have much give in the oil pan.... Other than that, i really suggest buying an 8 i have always been into tuning cars, but having a car that you can ACTUALLY do cool **** to makes all the difference..

here's a vid... hopefully that helps you out a bit
basically, your car's engine has 2 of these, side by side.
the intake valve is on the upper left side, and the exhaust valve is on the lower left side.
basically, this engine works a little like a 2 stroke, seeing how it has no valves.

so you should keep an extra 1L jug of regular oil in the trunk, and check the oil at every gas fill up.
and fyi, dont use synthetic oil, the renesis engine is designed to only use regular oil.

ive seen a 3 rotor FC rx7 with a 12,000 rpm rev limiter once before... on youtube lol
