Default New to forum & RX-8

New to forum and to Mazda RX-8. I just got my '04 RX-8 Thursday and I LOVE IT!!! I went in to see my dealer about a different car for a different me & he was like I have the car for you. I liked what I saw, but have test driven several cars lately & not cared for how they ride or they just fall short in several areas, shortly after taking it for a spin, I called my dealer & said, "This car is MINE" ha ha ha he was right, it was THE car for me! I got it in Titanium Gray, its been taken very very well care of by its previous owner and looks sharp! I love that its not a car I see everywhere on the road, which of course means I get a lot of looks. I will be posting pics soon. I am new to this car, so any advice, tips, etc appreciated. I just ordered custom floor mats, and am interested in getting a spoiler put on. Taking it in today to get remote start & calling my tint guy today to set that up. I wish I had a brochure from '04, if you have any suggestions on where to get one please let me know, I checked e-bay & was unsuccessful, but maybe need to type in a better search I dunno.

On the mazda Canada website there is one page where you can look at previous years specs and info, just like the current year. It goes back as far as 2003. Of course this will show Canadian specs, not sure how different it is from U.S. specs....It would give you an idea anyway...

Go to www.mazda.ca, enter the site, then once you are on the main page that shows a blue bar along the top with different links, click on vehicles, then over to archives, then 2004 and you should be able to find your way. Hope this helps a bit, John.

Hiya cherirx8

I'm also an RX8 driver, got mine last week. I have come from the Mazda 6 sport, and it feels like a natural progression My only advice so far is check your oil every other time you fill up with fuel!

We need pics!

Here is mine

Hi Faith,

Thanks for responding. Probably drive it too much. Thanks for the tip. Will check my oil in the morning.

Will also post some pics when the weather clears up here.

yes, the engine is in a class of its own. But if you abuse it too much, you will be in the shop often. Check oil often. The engine is capable of running 12,000 RPMS. No other stock engine can achieve this. But, it will wear your engine down fast if you do it alot!

Continue to love my RX-8!!! One of the best cars I have ever owned. My boyfriend sure enjoys driving it. Will continue to take very good care of it and intend to own her for a long time to come!!
