intermittent power steering
Hello I recently had an intermittent power steering loss (20 min) drove immediately to mazda rx8 mechanic, shut off engine, discussed quote to repair and was given brief response (electronic issue) and then when I turned it back on,engine lite disappeared. Have since put on 300 miles,no problems. Given your knowledge and experience do you believe it's ok,recalibrate itself? Is that possible? Or does code p2259 affect it? Thanks original 2004 owner 153k miles 😯

Behind the radiator are two grey connectors. If the coolent tank leaks its drips into the connectors and you loose power steering. Cleaning the connectors makes it possible to get your power steering back but two things would be good to do after this.
Get a longer hose for overflow and aim it someplace other then into the electronics. Replace the connectors with come that are waterproof (If your ok with not using OEM parts)
