I've been glancing through the latest issue of Mazdas magazine and came away with a few impressions. The mag. of course pushes the newest offering from Mazda but with not any mention of any new RX-8's. Way more about cruising Italy in a Mazda MX5 RC (Miata), the mag. mentions that Jay Leno owns an RX8, but then he owns about one of everything. It talks about the concept cars like the Nagare, Hakaze, and Ryuga, ....and..... mentions that a new 2 seat concept(?) sports car will be introduced in Oct. I got a strong feeling that we may be seeing the end of the RX8 soon. Maybe some of the ideas of the RX8 will be merged into the regular Mazda line-up as a Mazda 3 or 6 version. The lead designer of Mazda, Laurens Van Den Acker, says he likes the idea of a more feminine concept Japanese car less Arnold and more Angelina, not retro like American muscle cars but more toned and balanced. Guys on here who are hoping for an American styled muscle car seem likely to be disappointed, in my opinion. Did anyone else read or come away with different opinions?
