Hello, so i have a tribute that shuts off when placed into gear.
if i press accelerator pedal while switching to drive or reverse it will move just fine. Like it surges then dies. I already cleaned idle air valve, MAF & MAP sensors.
i had it scanned and only throws egr code. Wich has always been there. Spark plugs & filters were replaced a month ago.

 

Check for vacuum leaks.
