Default 2001 Turn Signal Replacement

I have a 2001 Tribute with about 50,000 miles on it. The other day my driver's side turn indicator started blinking rapidly. I checked out my lights and the front driver's side turn indicator light is out. It is the one in the headlamps, not the small one on the side of the car.
Is this something I can replace on my own? If so, how can I do it? and how much can I expect to spend? Will the hyperblinking return to normal once the light is replaced? Or what could I expect if I took it to my mechanic? I'd really appreciate any help, thank you!

Most parts stores will install it for you if you buy the part from them and ask them to install it.

Thanks for the response. I went to the parts store and got the bulb but they wouldn't install it for me, said they were not allowed. They showed me where to access it and I went home and attempted, but they made it seem if I unscrewed two screws that I should be able to pop the light out and access the panel. That is definitely not the case. It is on the driver's side and the battery is right there so it seems harder to get at than the passenger side.

Any advice? Please! Thanks in advance.
