Default Can someone help me with a radio code?

I’ve tried so many different codes, no code noted in the manual neither is a sticker on the radio itself. Not in the inside of the shelf as well. Mazda dealership wants to charge 151AUD

Yep , it looked a bit suss , the other way i can think of is to see how much a radio is at the wreckers and one with a code , the other way would be to get another new double din , i got one on a special for $80 awhile back even with shortwave radio too!
As far as that Mazda/Ford goes what rip off $150 , reminds me of the available options when new and buying a new vehicle early 2000's (one can find them online) , Cabin Air filter system as a option $400-600 i forget but all they did was fit a $12 acutual filter element as the whole box/setup is already there minus a filter element , i put one in mine when we had all that smoke around a few years back = new filter $15 lol .

Do you know if the code is Local(to the radio) or in the ECU ?

Terrific support from Mazda to be honest. My waterpump was broke due to an outlet to the radiator made out of plastic which broke off over the years. Never seen a waterpump with a plastic outlet. Oh well, Mazda quoted 1300AUD for that. I bought an aftermarket gates pump for 135 bucks and it’s 1:1 the same. What a shame I can’t mail them my serial number etc and they just reply with a code.
i can’t tell you that with the ECU unfortunately. Mazda Dealer said they take the codes from the picture and send it to Mazda and of course they get the code so they can charge 151AUD. I am just disappointed

Try over on the EscapeCity forum , i'm sure you'd be aware the tribute and escape are the same thing yes? and other than that keep digging/drilling in the interweb they gotta be out there somewhere for other vehicles (the radio model in your picture) , OR get a android double din replacement with gps they are unbelievably cheap these days ., good luck as thats all i got .

That’s sounds better then paying 150bucks for that. I’m worried how it will look like with the panel in the front of the radio. Can someone help me with a radio code?-xr6uswu.jpg

i mean the emergency light buttons etc they are all on the cover

edit*
just saw there are frames especially for that but will all the connectors and stuff be the same like the old radio? Just plug and play?

Hi , that dash looks nothing like mine (2003) , one had to get a wiring adapter plug and it all just went in , i suppose it depends on what radio you'll eventually get and the price factor , there was plenty of info on how to fit and wire on the interweb years ago , good luck
