Default Cruise Control Problem w/ 2004 Tribute

Hello all,

I have a 2004 Tribute that just recently the CC went out on and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. When the button on the steering wheel is depressed, the "cruise" light on the dash comes on but the CC doesn't activate. I checked the switch on the brake pedal and everything seems ok there. I can't seem to locate any fuse for the CC in either fuse box, but being as the light for the cruise comes on, I figured that the fuse would be good. Any help would greatly be appreciated!!!! I'm going on a long trip soon and it would be nice to be able to use it.

Thanks everyone!!

Default

Check the servo under the hood. This is a diaphram (sp?) that uses suction to hold the throttle open. Follow the throttle cable from the intake towards the firewall and you will run right into it.

Default Check you cruise cable

I had the same problem and I just needed to pop the plastic engine cover off and rehook the cable you will see where it needs to go.
