I just had my 2003 Transmission replaced in my Mazda Tribute, shortly before it went out my gauges started flipping out. The gas, speedodometer and fuel gauge will go clockwise as far as they can then drop down to where they should, and the Tribute seems to miss a little when it does this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

The gauges on our 04 Tribute V6 do the same thing. They sweep quickly clockwise to the right for about 2 seconds, then fall back to left completely and then move to the correct position. Seems it happens when there is a sudden change in power use ie. headlights, or deceleration. Its been happening for a long time now, but there doesn't seem to be any deterioration in performance. It is annoying to say the least, but I haven't seen any other gauge problems developing. It would be good to get it fixed if anyone has a suggestion.
