Handling Ehancement for 2003 LX V-6
Hello:
I have a 2003 Tribute LX-V6 Front Wheel Drive. Bought the car new. Now has 110K pretty darn reliable miles. One of the primary reasons for choosing the Tribute was the handling Mazda always builds into their wonderful cars. Not like my Miata of course. Yet, fun for a little SUV.
I am wondering if there are recommendations for struts/shocks and stock sized all season tires that have been found to provide the best "sports car like" handling for the Tribute. Keeping in mind ride quality, noise, and longevity. I researched tires and found the General Grabber HTS is a well rated all around tire. My next thought is good KYB's for shocks. Anyone know better?

I am wondering the same thing. The '05 Tribute we just purchased today has General tires on it and sounds like a Jeep with 33" tires when it gets up to highway speeds. Is this airplane-like road noise attributed JUST from the tires or do these vehicles simply have more road noise from the factory?
OP, I wonder what shocks and struts combo would corner a bit better then factory but also provide a "softer" ride. The factory ride seems a bit stiff especially over bumps and dips and such.
