Car (Mazda Tribute 2006) would not start various times. Had towed to Mazda dealer. They changed the smart fuse box on 7/21/2015, car would not start again on 7/23/2015. Had it towed back to dealer on 7/24. They cut a new key and a new remote on 7/28/2015. Car started fine for 2 weeks then on 8/13/2015 car would not start again with the same issue. Each time the PATS light blinks study when the key is in the ignition. Starter and battery work fine. I am at wits end with this issue tat the Mazda dealer should have fixed initially. What now?

 

A pats failure would be indicated by a rapidly flashing security light, not the slow and steady normal flash. This will not happen until you have turned the key in the ignition.

 

The Pats light is blinking rapidly.
