iPod integration success?

RE: iPod integration success?
i'm pretty new to the forum but i've had my ipod hooked up to all my previous vehicles. for my tribute i just bought, i just go the alpine head unit with the ipod indash adapter installed. its pretty good but the scroll speed sucks pretty hard...1 artist/item per second. if you end up buying an aftermarket head unit, go with the pioneer model. my roommate got that one and the scroll speed is much faster from the headunit.
anyways, the method i always used to hook it up to my previous systems was with an aux in behind the dash, 1/8" stereo plug to dual RCA. . never really tried it with a changer and i'm not sure if the stock head units have aun aux in.
good luck :/

RE: iPod integration success?
My spouse and I both have iPods integrated into our Tributes. (an 04 and an 05, both with in-dash, 6-cd changers.) You'll need an integration kit, ours are from Denison (about $220 ea.) http://www.densionusa.com/
You'll have to remove the dash and the radio, I think it took us about 1/2 hour per Trib to complete install and set up. The IceLink is nice because it gives you a number of options for controling the iPod. Hope this helps and good luck.
