Hi I have a 2001 V6 3.0l Tribute and water pump is leaking badly, it doesn.t look too difficult to change, any tips on how to do it, do I need any special tools.

 

I'ts pretty easy. No special tools are needed. It may be stuck to the block pretty well after you get all the bolts off. Just pry it off carefully so you don't mar the mateing surface for the new pump. If you drain the coolant and pull the thermostat, let me know how the relief valve (little pin thingy) on the thermostat is oriented.
