Losing my Subwoofer???

Losing my Subwoofer???
I have a 2002 Tribute but it has 2001 wiring in it for the radio. My factory 6cd changer (7 speaker system)bit the dust thanks to my 3 year old and his dimes. I'm currently muddling my way through installing an aftermarket radio. I've just realized that the radio I purchased has only 4 channels so I'm guessing I am not going to be able to use the subwoofer? Does this mean I will have no bass at all? Sorry if that is a stupid question. I've done the wiring using a wire harness but don't see where the subwoofer wire was coming into the original radio. Can anyone enlighten me on what the subwoofer wire coloring is and any other info that would educate me on the subject.

I'm not into car audio much, but I knowif you have no sub output, you need an adapter that hooks up to the decks output.
This may help: https://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/audio-visual-electronics-10/hooking-up-subwoofer-if-using-stock-deck-17482/

I was hoping to avoid buying an amplifier so let me try again with more specifics.
The sales guy at Fry's thinks there may be some trick to the wiring that Mazda used to get the sub to work. Does anyone know of any secret wirings (or since I'm a 1st timer...maybe the obvious wiring). He thinks there may be crossover wiring??? I know that is when you split the frequencies and send some to the subwoofer but I don't know what that would mean as far as wiring.
These are wires that are left over from my installation and are not attached to anything:
from my aftermarket radio (JVC KD-HDR50 4 channel radio): a blue/white wire labeled "Remote Output Only" "for amplifier/equilizer and/or auto antenae"
from 70-7901 Metra wiring harness: orange dimmer light; blue/white says Amp. turn on 12V+; and blue says power antenae.
Are one of those wires supposed to be attached to the blue/white one from the radio? That wire has a metal attachment piece on the end so I'd have to strip that off to connect it to a wire from my harness.
Can anyone help or do I truely need an amp. to get it to work? I'm no pro when it comes to sound; I was happy with my factory radio. I just want some bass back without having to get more and more equipment.
