Unhappy Milky coolant again, milky transmission fluid this time too!

2002 ES 3.0L v6
Both the coolant and the transmission fluid are showing milky. I think it is the transmission cooler section of the radiator leaking this time. Any thoughts or other possibilities?
Thanks!

That's the number 1 suspect. I guess you need a new radiator. If you want to solve the problem for good you get a radiator for the engine only and you get a separate transmission cooler.

I second that!
New fluids as well.
I'm now ever more glad I have a separate tranny cooler!

I have a 2003 Tribute LX V6 (94500 miles), and just had this issue repaired yesterday. Over the weekend, the coolant overflow was 1/4 full of semi-chunky strawberry milkshake (just like this photo, but with lumps: http://www.agitatedpancake.com/rando...s/dscn3807.jpg, but not brown slime, like this photo: http://www.porsche928forums.com/images/1.12.2008/7.jpg, which is a sign that motor oil has gotten to the engine coolant due to a bad gasket.

If it is transmission fluid in your radiator, and coolant has gotten into your transmission like this photo: http://www.autoscope.co/wp-content/u...n-1024x682.jpg, you can be in for a hefty repair.

As part of the radiator replacement, I changed all of the hoses that connected into the radiator, the thermostat, radiator cap and changed the engine oil. Just over $600.

If the op noted the problem early enough he may get away with it. I would handle the tranny fluid this way: New fluid, drive so that the tranny goes through all gears at least once. Immediatley change the fluid again. If the tranny has a filter change it also.
After about 500 miles do this again.
Statistically there should be only a trace of contamination left in the tranny.

Let's say you wash clothes and the rinse takes out 90% of the detergent, that leaves you with 10% contamination. A second rinse removes 90% of that contamination, leaves you with 1% of the original detergent.....
