Default More problems



Righto you lot that have an insight into the dreaded car. The first pic is the top of my EGR valve. The hose going into it comes from the Vacuum Solenoid Control box. The second pic is of the said box. From memory, which is not all that crash hot, this hose should be a vacuum hose, ie it should suck to raise and lower the diaphram in the EGR valve. Firstly am i correct and secondly there is no vacuum in the hose. If i take it off i can feel a slight vibration, no sucking for you. Come back one year, NEXT. Any help with this appreciated as i have been trying to sort a vacuum leak for 3 years in the bastard. I am not saying the vac leak is related to this but stranger things have happened. Thank you all kindly.

Yes a vac hose but that clear plastic stuff not much good unless thick as it might collapse in , the valve only turns it on when needed imo (from memory and poor) .
