Default Radio - weird problem

I just bought a 2006 Tribute and the radio sort of works. About half of the buttons do not work at all and the other ones that do do not do what they are supposed to. The volume **** works but when I press it to power off the radio it searches. It plays radio stations but I can only set 2 of the preset buttons. Is there a way to reset the system? Thanks!

jammer....I got some good some good news and some bad news for ya. Bad news first... It sounds like that radio is history. It may have gotten wet or had a drink of some sort splash into it. The good news ....this site has an excellent thread about radio replacement. Good luck with it and fill us in if there is a way to fix that without replacing the radio.

Default fixed

Well I tried the old "disconnect the battery" trick and it worked. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that it was just a weird blip....and not a sign of something worse. I really like the Tribute so far. Too bad my wife has taken it over. As long as she is happy....right???
