reprogram 2004 mazda tribute keyfob
well, after posting here and not getting any response i took it that i would need to find out myself, normally if you contact a dealer here they ask you to bring it in with car and they will do it and charge you.
well i rang them pretending to be a small time car dealer and they gave me the instructions over the phone.
so FYI......Might be worth putting this in a sticky somewhere.
1.put key in ignition
2.turn to on and then to off 8 times within 10secs and leave it in the on position
3.the doors will automatically lock and unlock -(now ready to program)
4. press any button on keyfob - doors will lock/unlock
5.if you have more fobs press now one at a time to a max of 3.
6. if you only have 1 keyfob - program it a total of 3 times - there are 3 spaces for programmed fobs -fill them all - it is possible to clone a keyfob if all spaces are not programmed....
7. remove your key.
that as the fella says is it
