Default Squeaking Steering Wheel

The steering wheel on my 2003 squeaks, particularly when the car is cold. My repair shop took a quick look at it, but they did not know a quick way to lubricate it, so they did nothing. How can I get rid of the squeak?

I have the same problem... when I bought it (used), the tech said it was probably a clock spring. Unfortunately for me, the day I took it into the shop was the day it refused to squeak. One of these days I need to make an appointment to go back in there because it's really quite irritating.

I have the same problem. Thought I had a mouse. I just live with it. Don't need those mechanics sticking their hands into such a minor problem. They usually cause bigger ones.

I have 2001 Mazda Tribute. Starts to squeak when turning when the weather turns cold. Started doing this 2 winters ago. Mechanic said could be tie rods. When the weather warms up, the squeaking stops. The cutoff seams to be right around the 32 degree temperature. I just live with it because I do not want to sink anymore $ into vehicle.

I do not know if possible to lubricate.
