Exclamation Tribute 06 Low beam stopped working

Ok, so ive been driving around for awhile using 1 headlight and both fog lights.

For some reason the passanger side headlight stopped working. THe highbeams for both lights come on, but the low beam for the passanger does not at all.

I checked all the fuses both inside and outside the truck an they all work. I looked at the wiring myself as best as i could as most of it is tapped up and i didnt want to remove the tape, and i followed it as best i could and the wire is not melted anywhere i could see.

I am wondering what the issue could be.
I am having an issue with the other driverside one as well, teh low beam works on that, but if i use the highbeam too ofter, it literly melts the rubber around where it connects to the bulb and wireharness.
I went to mazda for that, they wanted like $300 just to look at it.

So im wondering if its a electrical issue maybe. SOmeone said to try clicking hte dimmer switch and see if thats it. Ill try that tommrow. Another person said to try the voltage switch, tho i have NO idea where that is, i looked online but couldnt find it anywhere.

thanks for any help
btw, does anyone from mazda actually use these forums?

Have you replaced the passenger side headlight bulb?

Have you got 12 volts & earth at the wiring plug for the bulb?

I have no idea what that even means. I changed the bulb already. The low beam doesnt work. Only the high

Most electrical systems run with 12v+ and earth. If you don't have that then nothing works.

Sounds like this problem maybe beyond you current skill level.

similar problem with my 08. Had it diagnosed. Turns out it is the smart junction box in the centre console. Replaced it. Now headlights work but have to push shift interlock button to get out of park and doors do not lock and unlock with button inside. Does the SJB need to be programmed.

Yes it needs to be programmed to the vehicle. Also the part numbers need to be identical.
