I have a tribute 3.0 with cly 3 misfire no power and now flashing see light.
Cylinders 1,2 & 3 are in the 'rear' bank (Bank 2), and 4,5 & 6 are the front bank (Bank 1). The rear bank requires removing upper intake manifold to access the 'coil-on-plug' type coils, as they are the weak link and common problem for misfires on this Ford Duratec engine. There are numerous steps in clearing way for access and disconnections, but it is not a difficult procedure for some one with a few tools and the willingness to save many $hundreds doing it themselves. Watching and cx-referencing a dozen YouTubes will get you by fine. It's much preferable to spend the extra few $$ and replace all 3 coils and plugs back there to keep from repeating later. Also, do yourself a favor and replace the $11 PCV (only accessible after the intake is off) and be pleased with the improved performance, both idle and acceleration. You'll of course need the $7 set of little blue silicone gaskets, but will only use the 6 for the upper intake and maybe the ones for the throttle body and either the IAC or was it the EGR IDRemember
Online parts suppliers like RockAuto are good at the listings and illustrations.
