okay so my best friend's mom has one of these and im gonna say it its a Piece of ****. its a 2001 ES v6 or something like that, everything is gone on it, they needed a new motor and tranny, brakes died, lights died, it died, like omg wtf. i dont understand it they bought it brand new and ahve spent more money then they paid for it

 

IIRC, that's the same tranny from the old Taurus...notoriously bad. Can't say they shouldn't have seen that one coming.

Hi Jaimie, can't vouch for any year but the one I own, I have a 2005 Trib 4 cyl 2.3L front wheel drive and aside from recalls, have not had one sigle issue with it... been fine for 52k miles, the 2.3 153hp motor is very good imho. Looking at 09s actually now. I see Mazda still has the 4 yr 50k warranty too, which is good.
