I'm copying this over here from another forum I'm part of.

This is an install I did on my wife's Demio (Mazda 2)

My solution, install the deck inside the storage bin located on top of the dash board.

The bin location..


Opened..


Removed..


Now to get a head unit to fit in there..



1/4" ply, a jigsaw and sand paper and I end up with..











Wood glue + clamps to stick the pieces together..

 

This is what it looks like test fitted in the dash..





Now to carpet.. wait, I hate to carpet stuff.. Need a lazy man solution..

All taped up and under coated, I mean, spray painted..





The final look..

If you look closely in the pics, you will see I glued pieces of rubber inside the bin to support the back of the headunit. A hole was also drilled to allow passage for the wiring.

I'll post the rest of the install later on, this is as far as I reached..

 

Hi, i am interested in those part numbers, since i do want to change my Head Unit! Can you please let me know which ones shall i look for?

 

I've been searching all over the net for a din dash for my 2004 demio sport any help available?

 

at your local mazda dealer, but it is not gonna be cheap. at least that is where i bought the new din dash.
But from my expirience it would be better to just make something or have someone to make it for you like 3stage did it.
