Default Rear shocks

My Mazda 2 has new springs but has a clunking sound in the rear. Shocks? Or something else?

Could be, you can just grab the shock and give it a shake, it should not move. Both shock mounts completely snapped off on mine at around 60k.

I had the same problem. I sprayed White grease up under the cover of the shock, to the top of the shock and the clunks were gone.

Not sure your year, but my 2013 with 35K had the same problem. A new set of shocks solved it. If you plan on keeping it, go ahead and invest.
