Default 07 4d sGT windsheild washer indicators

Ok I ran into something that no one at the dealer could explain so I thought I would come somewhere for help. I have a 07 4dsGT. I have had the car fortwo weeks. Here in Ohio when it snows and you’re on the freeway you have to have windshield washer fluid. So driving to work I ran out and never got an indicator light to show it was low.Took it to the dealer (actually to have the wing spoiler put on) and asked about it. They come out and tell me that the GT model has the standard WW tank without a sensor to tell you when it’s low. They said that the lower models have the extra large tank with a sensor. After a moment of the dear in the headlight look I said why would the GT not have that being it’s like the top of the line as far as options and such. I heard crickets among the silence.

Am I the crazy one here or is their a good reason why? not enough room? WTF? Does any one have a GT 4d with this sensor?

I'm just not in need of an idiot light to tell me the thing is low. The hood does open after all.

Yes some of them have the light, but I thought it was the GT that had it. There isn't a really big difference is empty space between the 2.0 and the 2.3, so that's not a very good reason of why they couldn't put a larger tank with a sensor there.

On the bright side I believe the light is somewhat crazy and likes to come on all the time, so you might want to count your blessings that you don't have it.

Hey MikeMs3 its nice to see how you can be an *** when some one is just looking for information. I know the hood opens and I can even fill the friggn bottle with out the sensor. Although, a person has to be a real dumb *** to have never heard of the windshield washer monitoring sensor. Well when you are dealing with you first car I can see that.

IC thanks for the comments. That is the same reason I was confused about the issue. I would have thought the GT would have it too. It one less light bulb to replace someday.
