Any opinions or thoughts would be super appreciated. I'm at a loss.
I've dealt with a variation of car problems over the years but this is new. Quick summary:
Engine cold, plugs in, no fuel, 2 capfuls of oil for wet test, 5-8 turnovers until max. psi. The psi would jump by about 50 each turnover - e.g. 50,100,150,170
With these results I would suspect the rings or cylinders but how is going through that much oil possible without a big blue trail of smoke?

- 240,000km
- PCV Value is good
- No leaks underneath (even went to a shop to check)
- Some minor smoke out the back when revving but not enough to warrant 1L per outing.
- Replaced valve cover gasket (no leaks now)
- 170/230
- 170/220
- 175/235
