Unhappy 2005 Mazda 3 wont't start / struggles to start.

Hello, I recently bought a 2005 Mazda 3 with 90,000 miles on it. The guy said that his neighbor was a mechanic and looked at the car and guessed that there was a loose ground somewhere between the alternator, starter, and battery circuit.... which is like the entire car. Anyways I figured I could find the issue and fix it with ease, silly me. I towed the vehicle back and put a new battery in it as the old one was dead, along with fresh gas and some fuel injector cleaner. No luck, the car will turn over and every 3 or 4 times turn on, rev to about 2000 rpm's and then in about two seconds it just shuts off. On rare occasions it struggles to stay running for about a second longer but most times it shuts off like the key was turned off. The car threw the codes PO123 and PO222, both for the TBS Sensor showing low and high outputs. I took the Throttle Body off and cleaned it along with the MAF sensor. I don't have a fuel pressure reader but I popped the line off and cranked it over and the pressure seemed fine. Not sure what to do and I'm pretty well stranded at my parents house until I figure it out. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Unplug the TPS, unplug the MAF, try and start it. Report back.
