2005 Rubbing noise when turning
I just got my car back from the shop where they replaced the synchro rings and some seals in first and second gear. It had been grinding into those gears for months, so of course this morning they call me and tell me my car is done so I took it out for a test drive. Everything seems to be working fine except sometimes when I take sharp turns while in gear, or sometimes when I get past 2500 RPM there seems to be a kind of whining/ rubbing noise. Is this just getting the new parts broken in or did they possibly not put something back together correctly?

Update: I brought my car back into the shop and they said they "fixed it" for free and whatnot. The probably still isn't fixed but I did figure out that it only makes the noise when the A/C is on. You can turn the A/C off mid-turn and it will stop, and vice versa.
The A/C is still functioning perfectly fine, but I'm wondering if they might have moved a hose or the entire unit or something while repairing the transmission and now it's hitting something when I turn? It wouldn't be a problem if it weren't June and I wasn't about to go on a 2500 mile road trip..

I found out that the plastic plate under the bumper had caught on something and broke last winter. When they removed it to work on the transmission they didn't position it exactly as it had been, so it was rubbing on the fan belt.
