2006 Mazda 3 - Electrical Issues ***NEED HELP***
Hi All,
I have a 2006 Mazda 2.0i, 5-speed manuel. The first time I encountered an issue was a few days ago, I had left the store at night with my lights on and stereo playing. After driving for a few seconds the lights and engine shut off then turned back on in time for the engine to keep firing. This happened about four or five time, losing all electrical power. I pulled over and one of my head lights was out but everything else seemed to be fine. Two days later this same problem happened but I had been driving for about 10-15 minutes, it happened as I was slowing down for a turn, again the electricity sputtered shutting the car on and off. It was almost a delayed shut off like when you lose power to a rechargeable drill or something where it didn't shut off immediately but dimmed somewhat slowly then shut the car off and all gauges, lights and stereo turned back on like I had turned the key off and then back on into the on position.
Can someone please help me with any suggestion on what it may be because I have no clue what this could be localized to. Its extremely dangerous at night and need some input ASAP.
Thank You!!

disconnect your power wire for your sterio. get your electrical system tested (advanced auto does it for free) if it happens again. start your car, take off the neg terminal if the car stays running then your alternator is still good (most likely) if the car dies then its bad (most likely). check your battery terminals to see if they are loose.
