2007 CD Player Problem

2007 CD Player Problem
Over the summer it got insanely hot and I assumed my CD player had been fried. The CD that was in it got stuck and wouldn't eject, it wouldn't play, I couldn't do anything with it. Magically in the evening, when it cooled off, the CD came right out with no problem. Anytime I tried to test to see if the CD player had fixed, it would just spin CDs and then eject them. Then today I put a CD in and it worked just fine.
Does extreme heat affect the performance of the stock CD players on these cars? It's not a 6 CD changer, just a regular one.
*edit: This past summer was the hottest summer recorded in Oklahoma history. I don't know if heat like that can affect a CD player's performance, but I'm assuming it would.

It was insanely hot here in Texas this summer too, and like you my CD player began acting up. I read where this summer in Oklahoma and Texas were the second and third in recorded history, only to the dust bowl conditions in the '30's Oklahoma.
But mine skips and misses its read. I don't use it all that often anyway, so its not a really big deal to me. I have tried to clean mine and it has not made much difference.
The 2004 player (like mine) is a little different from a 2007 player. I'm not even sure they are from the same manufacturer? I believe the one in mine was made by Clarion and from my experience over the years, they have never been a player I would go out and and spend my money on. It's probably just cheap electronics.
But I feel really sorry for those that have the changer. I was even looking for one @ one time, but after reading about all the problems after a few years/miles I'm glad I didn't find one I liked.
Yours may come back in time, but I wouldn't count on it. It may be time for a replacement or a repair.

I'm willing to give it a shot, but I doubt it's the issue because the same CD that wouldn't play in the summer while it was hot outside plays perfectly fine now that it's winter. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thank you for the feedback.
