So I’ve got a Mazda Axela that didn’t come with paddle shifters from factory, wanted to add them for fun so I bought a steering wheel from a wrecked car. Installed it and noticed the little “Up” and “Down” text has light when the headlights are on so they get power but they do not actually shift the gears.

Do I need to wire something else up?
