Unhappy 2011 Mazda 3 Battery Draining

I have a 2011 Mazda 3 Hatchback with pushbutton start. It is draining batteries. We have taken it to a repair shop, and they said take it to Mazda, so then we did that, and both of them said its fine. For whatever reason the jerk of a car started fine after 4 days of snowstorm for the Mazda dealer. They told me to buy a bigger battery, so I did. So now I have a brand new battery that is at 50% after 4 days. Everyone is saying it is because it doesn't get driven enough. My daughter has it at college, and she only needs a car for short trips a couple of times a week. When the battery gets low the alarm goes off, the power steering goes out, lots of bad things making her feel unsafe. I'm at the end of my rope and ready to sell it. Any ideas on things to try? Its an older car but has low miles and is a great little college car, so I hate having to start over.
