2011 Mazda3 warning lights + loss of power
Thursday when I got in my car to leave work, both temperature lights came, the TCS/DSC light came on and stayed on and I had no AC. After consulting with my dad and checking for any leaks and all fluid levels we decided it would be ok to drive the car but to keep an eye on the lights. I put the car in reverse and there was a very hard shift to reverse, when the car needed to shift gears, it too shifted very hard. I pulled over and called my dad again, after searching all forums and from what he knows about cars ( he has worked on them his entire life) he said to proceed home. About 25 mins into my 45 min drive home both coolant lights went off and the AC started working again. To reset the TCS/DSC light I did a few figure 8s in a parking lot, turned the car off then on and all lights were gone.
I went to start my car up Friday mid morning and all lights were back on with no AC and shifting hard again. About 2 mins of driving and all lights went off and AC was back with car running fine again. The check engine light has been on for a while and is due to the temperature sensor from what mazda has told me, but this light is also intermittent. I have had other electrical issues with the passenger door stating it is open mid drive, the interior lights will occasionally dim - these two issues have been ongoing and intermittent for about a year. Since I bought the car in 2011 i have had to get the battery replaced every 2 to 3 years and about a year after having it i had to have the compressor replaced. Other than those items, I have had regular maintenance preformed, almost entirely by mazda, with the exception of a few repairs needed due to leaks from old age. Has anyone else experienced this or may know what the cause of this is?
