Hi everyone,

New to MazdaForums. I got a new 2021 Mazda3 (turbo awd) in April '21 and love it! This week, I updated my iPhone to iOS 15 and have been experiencing a rather simple but gnarly issue with CarPlay: the next/previous controls no longer work (both on center control and the steering wheel). When I disconnect the iPhone from CarPlay but connect it to the Bluetooth, and use Mazda's native interface the controls work fine. This leads me to believe the issue is with the CarPlay install and Apple's iOS 15 update. So far I have tried the following remedies:

• Hard restart of iPhone.
• Disconnected iPhone from USB, turned engine off, waited 10 mins, turned engine back off, and then connected iPhone via USB.

And the controls would still not work.

I thought of contacting Mazda but I imagine this is an iOS/CarPlay issue so it is unlikely they'll be able to help. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this issue and if they found a workaround.
