Is The 3 Too Small?

Is The 3 Too Small?
I've been considering buying an Altima instead of a 3 simply because of the size. I've even considered buying a Hyundai Sonata just to get a little more size out of my car.
Has their ever been a time where the size of the 3 has frustrated you? (Trying to load a HDTV, Bike, Chair, Standing lamps ect?)
I've heard people say that they were suprised by how much room they have in the 3. Is it bigger than it looks?

RE: Is The 3 Too Small?
The Altima is alarger vehicle than the Mazda3, yes.
The Mazda3's Nissan competitor is the Sentra.
Size class wise, the Altima would be comparable to the Mazda6.
Re: Hyundai, the Elantra is the same size class as the Mazda3. The Sonata is in the same size class as the Mazda6.
My personalfinding is adultsride verycomfortably in the back seat, Mazdadid a fine jobof providing head room for Mazda3's back seat occupants. I'd advise sitting in the back seat of compact cars you are comparing, because some compacts do NOT have enough head room for average size adults. The Mazda3 trunk (I own a 4dr sedan) is a little on the small side, iftrunk spaceis an importantcriteria foryou, I would check that out carefully.
As is the case with most sedans these days, the rear seat folds down, so transporting long objects like shovels, lumber and lamps can be accomodated. I've moved long stuff, it fitted without a problem.

RE: Is The 3 Too Small?
there is plenty of room in the wagon. i am able to fit two drum sets in the back of my car no problem...or three bandmates, a drumset, guitar, bass, two BIG amps, keyboard, etc. while maintaining passenger comfort and decent acceleration.

RE: Is The 3 Too Small?
If I was worried about size I would have bought a truck (Or not since I have one already)
I bought my Mazda 3 for going back and forth to work, and I do it in style and comfort both in the 3.
BTW my Sister in Law wants to sell her Altima and get a Mazda 3, she was surprised by the amount of room in the car period.

BTW, all highway in my truck it gets pretty close to 23 MPG, the 3 is doing 6-7 MPG better though. Mixed city and highway the truck gets 17-18 where the 3 is getting 26-27 [sm=smiley14.gif]
