aftermarket exhaust

RE: aftermarket exhaust
Only parts of the warranty.
If you add aftermarket exhaust, you would be covered for just about everything, except anything to do with the exhaust. (Sensors, rattles, engine trouble due to rich/lean condition, etc.)
Do it right, use good parts and make sure they are installed properly and you should be fine.
I'm not expecting any of those types of issues within the first 48,000 miles (roughly 2 1/4 years driving for me.), so I already changed out my stock exhaust for the Mazdaspeed kit. It's very nice and improves roll-on acceleration as well as throttle response. (Sounds like a large bore sport bike....tunnels are cool.)

RE: aftermarket exhaust
aftermarket parts dont necessarily void the warranty, the only way that the warranty is voided is if that part or parts causes problems with the car that can be traced back to the aftermarket part. Also, if you buy aftermarket parts and dont have them installed by a licensed Mazda installer and that part causes problems, that will void that certain section of your warranty. if you bought MazdaSpeed products and have them installed by the dealer it should not affect your warranty since they are genuine Mazda parts installed properly.
